aesthetic low light

The bulbs work well and they look very old school (Edison style) but they are more for aesthetic rather than practical function. The light emitted is very gentle, very low, so I use this in my old vintage lamp for shabbat. It stays on and keeps the room minimally lighted while allowing for a warm glow in the evenings.

Warm amber glow

I got another style of Lafohome dimmable lightbulbs and liked them so much, I decided to try this globe style. These 40-watt LED bulbs have a standard E26 connection, and they give off a soft amber glow that's really easy on the eyes. And they're attractive, not needing to be hidden under a lampshade. Though clearly functional, they're also decorative in their own right, perfect for industrial lighting, vanity mirrors, pendant lights and similar types of light fixtures. The bulbs are energy efficient and advertised as lasting for 15,000 hours. That's a lot. And that makes them a very good buy. Recommended.

Quick upgrade

These are lovely! I have one of those older vanity lights in my bathroom, and I was looking for a way to tolerate it a little better. We are in a rental, so changing the light fixture itself may be too much for a temporary situation. These bulbs not only look better but they complement the color of the walls in my bathroom, which is a lighter shade of blue/aqua. The current bulbs are round like this, but they're white, and I don't like them. These look expensive. I almost feel bad putting them in the ugly light fixture.Side note: I prefer warm lighting over cool/daylight bulbs.
